Zimmer Ohio is noted for a unique corporate culture. Our philosophy is to foster a 'work hard/play hard' environment that we believe is the foundation of our past and future successes. Traditions
To promote team spirit and camaraderie at work, Zimmer Ohio has developed some corporate traditions. A few examples of the customs are:
Zimmoid: All Zimmer Ohio employees are affectionately known
as 'Zimmoids' and are usually found in Zimmer Land when not at play.
Greeting Responses: Never respond to the question 'How are
you?' with a response other than 'incredible, great, or superb.'
Communications: Zimmer Ohio values strong communications
throughout all levels of the company and has developed a number of
innovative programs to facilitate the flow of information between Zimmoids.
Salute: Zimmer Ohio has a corporate salute that is adopted from 'The Three Stooges.' Placing your right hand vertically on the bridge of your nose, perform the salute (as Curley would do when Moe tried to poke him in the eyes) and reciting the phrase: 'To preserve and enhance vision.'
Recognition and Reward
At Zimmer Ohio, we have many highly innovative reward programs to recognize
and thank Zimmoids for their hard work and dedication.
Presidents
Award: The Presidents Award is given out once a year to Zimmoids
who surpass the company's high expectations and who demonstrate superior job
performance, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence. These
awards consist of a diamond ring and Presidents Award business cards.
