The Osteonecrosis Intervention Implant is intended for use in the management of osteonecrosis of the femoral head. The Trabecular Metal Osteonecrosis Intervention Implant is used in patients with Stage I or Stage II (pre-collapse) osteonecrosis of the femoral head and may be used with or without bone grafting material.


Based on the results of a clinical study, the device has the potential to limit the progression of the disease, delaying or preventing the need for a hip replacement in many patients. In addition to the intended clinical benefits of the implant, the device offers surgeons an expanded hip product offering, a minimally invasive approach and a means of providing a complete "Continuum of Care" for their patients.
